Just as many of us are coming to terms with Windows 11 and getting used to the changes, trying to avoid getting sent somewhere we never intended, and changing to adapt to the new right click menus etc, it is now looking like it will become more intrusive with the impending launch of Copilot. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for progress and new technology – I am a geek after all. But if it is going to be foisted onto us without an option to opt out (other than digging in to the registry) then I am not looking forward to it.
My point is that, God love em, Microsoft doesn’t know me well enough to know what I want to do and preempt it. And the way Bing has included AI has made it even less useful than it already was.
Anyway, I guess I’m being pessimistic. Maybe it will be great! I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
