Welcome to our new website!
It has been many months since anything has been written here and a lot has happened.
There have been two more feature updates to Windows 10 since the November update (version 1507) in July 2015:
The Anniversary update in August 2016 (version 1607);
and the Creators update (version 1703) which started rolling out on April 5th 2017. Not many of the PCs I’ve seen have received this update yet as Microsoft is releasing it more slowly to allow more time for any bugs to surface and be fixed.
The version you have doesn’t make any huge difference except if you are still on version 1507 because support for it has just been retired.
You can see which version you have by clicking the Start button -> Settings -> System -> About.
As long as you allow Windows updates to be installed you will be updated Automatically.
Another Microsoft operating system which has recently lost support is Windows Vista. What is means is that any vulnerabilities which are unearthed will not be patched by Microsoft so it will be less and less secure to be on the internet with Windows Vista. Also, various programs (mainly browsers like Chrome) will eventually no longer work.
If you are still running Vista it might be time to start thinking about an upgrade.
